I have more than 30 years of experience helping young adults and children transform their lives for the better. I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1981 with a degree in education. I earned a Masters in School Guidance and Counseling in 1997 and became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC) in 2001. I have worked in the St. Mary’s County Public Schools System as a school counselor for over 14 years and as a licensed therapist for six years. Prior to working as a school counselor and therapist, I was a special education instructor for 17 years. I have helped young adults and children of all ages and grade levels with a variety of challenges, including: anxiety, trauma, grief, ADHD, impulsivity, depression, trauma, self-esteem and personal identity. I find great enjoyment and satisfaction in helping young people overcome their challenges and make strides to realize their full potential.
